Frooti, and her seering eyes

9th July 2016

In that corner of the house, she sat adorably gaping at her across the room, always waiting when she would come and play. It hadn't been minutes that she had left her by herself yet there she was longing to be with her again as if hours had passed. She was her little white

angel, Frooti.

Frooti, was as tiny and fragile lying on that floor like ahapless puppy and yet as she saw Anahita she slid on her lifeless legs to the corner of the hut. While Kishan and Kumar bandaged the foot of Rann, a calf barely 5 months

old who was ran over by a vehicle and had suffered a fracture with septicaemia due to delayed treatment.

It was a home for animals just like her who played around and seemed happy. Yet unknown to have been suddenly left there, she knew nothing more. Maybe just a few months back, that she had opened her eyes on that street. A

few memories , happy and painful was all she had which none knew about.

Had she seen her siblings being ran over or her mother lying lifeless on the road? How she was scared to be all alone, and managed to survive? When another fateful day, some vehicle ran over her while she screamed in such writhing pain that was turned to deaf ears nonetheless. It was lonely, painful as her intestines burnt

with the gashes of those rolling tyres, she lay there unable to move.
